I think introductions are due. Hi all, I'm Rachel, and I hope you don't mind me making a little addition to your illustrious little community here. Aspiring to be a writer myself (but then again isn't everyone) I thought this would be a good exercise. Any comments would be most welcome.

I wrote this tonight, based on a recent experience.

Very nice. You sound more like me than I'd care to admit.

And if poetry isn't your thing, or you want to put up a story etc., me and ieatmousse have decided to allow that up so yeah, you can post pretty much anything you want.

i'm quite complimented that you think i sound like you...! have read a couple of your earlier poems, i especially liked 'porcelain queen'. =)

stories are more my thing, but they can be quite long - are you *sure* you guys are willing to open that pandora's box? otherwise i would love some feedback on some stories (or half-stories)!
