How does your mind work?

My mind is a funny place, I must admit. I tend to think almost circumlocutively (and I'm fairly sure most others do as well); not as much in the sense that I often go into random tangents with no connection, but that I stay on those tangents for rather ridiculous amounts of time.

I believe that I think more in images than in words, although there is a distinct inner monologue at all times. Often when I think of a word, I see its spelling in my mind, almost as if someone had set Microsoft Word's font to 72 and typed it for me. That sounds lame. But it's true. (Maybe I'm on this computer contraption a little too much?)

During conversation, I don't think before I speak. Sometimes I do, if I'm trying to recall something, but most times I get completely engrossed in what the other person is saying. And so when my turn comes to speak, the words just tumble out. Fortunately I don't stumble over them nor do I often find myself in a situation where I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm a brilliant bullshit artist, but I limit that to schoolwork. If I don't know something, I'm perfectly willing to admit it. I've noticed a lot of people seem to have some fear of that, as if admitting they don't know something makes them look incredibly stupid. In my opinion, as long as you're not trying to "understand" all of the time, asking more about something only makes you look intelligent enough to have the capacity to delve into something new.

You can take this question however you like. I know we've decided that impartial (<3) would do this, but I caught myself in a most peculiar circle of thought tonight and thought it would be an interesting question to pose to someone else.
