I tore a ligament in my knee and I can't get surgery on it. Now I am afraid it won't heal naturally and I won't be able to enter the military. I wished for this so bad....
That sucks man. I'm trying to think of some things you could do to help it. To bad you don't live in CAlifornia. My boss (with my help) is a miricale worker.
I want to enlist as a soldier because it is the best option for my life, and it will help me the most with so many things. I see it as the only way I can ever travel away from this area that i loathe (LA, my father's house), and the only way I can ever be successful and get a big push on the road TO success. Plus, I am something of a patriot and feel that at this time this country needs all the help it can get with defense (no shit). At this time I'm actually so desperate to be accepted in the US Military that I don't care what branch it may be- air force or otherwise- army it may be.
Don't even THINK about the Army with that knee. In training you will run at least 3 miles 3 days a week, plus road marches with heavy packs and all kinds of other shit. It's hard on people who do not have bad knees. Plus, Army medical stuff sucks. The Navy is much better there
( ... )
I am so hoping it's only something temporary, and will be healed soon (funny, that hope we all naturally seem to have). I mean, all I did was tear something or wear the cartilage out, and it doesn't hurt EXCRUCIATINGLY or nothin', just kindof pains me and bugs me when I walk. Kindof like a numb feeling each time my foot hits the ground. Why the hell am I telling you this. College after high school is not in it for me... I was (am) so set on the military and i'm gung-ho about that and everything, this is what I want to do and that's IT. I also have a very "military" family. Thanks for the advice.

Seriously, THATS what you want out of life?? The military???
I know that comes off as rude, but I'm curious.
WHY?
