my mother came home to her rottweiler who hates rain laying in the rain. she was panting hard and when my mother went up to pet her she couldnt move.
she is unable to move her entire body but her left leg a bit. The farm vet told my mother to ice her and pour water on her, that it was probably a heat stroke (the dog weights 150 pounds!). In any case,, there is no emergency animal hospital and the stuborn vet wont come out to see the dog. Is there ANYTHING you can recommend?
her heart rate is some-what normal but my mother says with deepdeep breaths she can hear it skip a beat. she rolls her over every thirty minutes or so and has moved her to the porch.... :(
