I always think about doing something in the vet field, but I don't know if I could handle the sadder aspect to it, I'm just so untough when it comes to animals. When I read your other entry about whatever it was that happened that really upset you, I wanted to cry even though I had no idea what happened.

how old is she do you think? and, what type of place to do work at again?

as you know, i took in 3 practically newborn kitties. well, i just found 4 more newborns underneath my deck. i wish i could keep them all, but i know 3 is already pushing it. it breaks my heart...

we are thinkinh she is around 9 weeks, i think she is so small because she is under nourished (i am on top of that though with the turkey rice baby food). i am a veterinary receptionist, only for 3 weeks now but that is my job so i am lucky to have people who can help or otherwise i would feel lost. i know of so many people in search of a kitten & this baby is sogorgeous i am sure she will be in a great home soon. what with having 2 dogs i really have no way of keeping her, even though i would in a heartbeat under different circumstances. your kittens are amazing as are their names - oh my goodness - so perfect!!!!!.

i remember you saying something about acupuncture once, so i thought maybe you worked for an animal acupuncturist (sp)? You get to see lovelies all day, how fun!

My kitties are 5 wks old tomorrow. I am in love. :-) Good luck w/priscilla. I'm glad you were there to help her.

p.s. how are the doggies taking it? I have yet to formally introduce my 2 dogs to the kittens. scary!

maybe you can help?!

my mother came home to her rottweiler who hates rain laying in the rain. she was panting hard and when my mother went up to pet her she couldnt move.

she is unable to move her entire body but her left leg a bit. The farm vet told my mother to ice her and pour water on her, that it was probably a heat stroke (the dog weights 150 pounds!). In any case,, there is no emergency animal hospital and the stuborn vet wont come out to see the dog. Is there ANYTHING you can recommend?

her heart rate is some-what normal but my mother says with deepdeep breaths she can hear it skip a beat. she rolls her over every thirty minutes or so and has moved her to the porch.... :(

It's possible she threw a clot - meaning a blood clot has traveled and cut off circulation, which would be very serious. If she doesn't improve shortly, I'd have your mom call that vet back!
