Anyone else gotten to that age where it's sometimes hard to differentiate between genuine and sarcastic?

How do you tell which is which?

It depends on the individual, the situation and the importance of knowing...

You can always confirm; at worst case you look silly - otherwise you're dealing with uncertain facts thereby making uninformed decisions.

If its not important - then don't worry...
