Who is Rochelle Moore Part 2

Apr 27, 2010 22:33

Rochelle Moore is supposedly an Irish citizen but surprisingly for such a supposedly famous author there is no mention of her on any Irish based web-sites, in fact before 2005 there is no mention of her anywhere.

Despite her fame it appears that Rochelle has never appeared in public, has never given a TV interview and there is no reports of her ( Read more... )

For 'Rochelle Moore' and 'Andborough Publishing' : 76.163.36.90.

By the by ( I say, I've been having lots of fun with this all evening: thank you :) ), I've found yet a third candidate who, unsurprisingly, is involved in the 'Indigo Children', and various. Ms. 'Moore' uses so many ( deliberately obscured - I've found that much out) faces even my face recognition program is demanding overtime.

And I can find no record of her doing anything in the U.S. - radio shows, book signings or waving from a 'Ducks' bus.

Illgrace - on the job

YAY! Illgrace, just the person :D
Sorry lass it looks like I couldn't keep my ass out of trouble after all. It seems to follow me around. So much for a quiet life eh *blush*

It would be good to see you over on Facebook if you could make it. Some of us have had accounts barred for no reason and I have lost all my contacts with family and all my pictures.

I could add them again, but I dont want to involve my kids in all this, my lad in particular would be devastated if he lost his account.

Anyway speak soon. You did get my new email addy didnt you?

Also goes by the ( strange but interesting) name of 'Rochelle MooreAgents' or 'Mooreagents'. *snerk*.

Always uses either social networking sites or proxies. Has some interesting ( and that's interesting in a creepy way) friends. Follow the friends.

Illgrace

Amber, this is brilliant work. Like I said over on FB, I seem to have lost my investigative skills. I tried all day and got nowhere.

But you've given us some very interesting news. Over on Amazonuk her publishers are listed as Green Man http://www.greenmagicpublishing.com/

I'll try and dig a bit more :)

This woman is like no author I know. I am griends with a published author, and though him I read the LJs and blogs of a number or other authors. They all network heavily and keep their fans up to date with tour dates, appearances and signings; some even tell their followers every time they're popping into the pub for a drink! They do this because every bit of publicity helps with book sales. But RM seems to be totally uninterested in promoting herself and meeting her fans. Wonder why?
And the publishing site seems to be a ghost. Using the 'link:' parameter in google produced zero hits, which means that no other site anywhere links to it. It's running on an outdated Wordpress version from over a year ago; Wordpress throws up a nagging 'update now' message on login whenever a new version comes out, so it would appear that nobody has logged in for quite a while.
Everywhere you look for this woman, you just come up with fog and mist.

Back Links and WP Version robertyarb June 12 2010, 15:03:58 UTC
It is not the best practice to automatically upgrade to the latest version of WP every time it is released. I use a template that is not tested with the new version so I am not going to upgrade until I make other changes (which we are at the moment). Plus I don't necessarily need the new bells and whistles that come with upgrades. I still run an accounting program that has been updated twice and I haven't upgrade...of course I have to pay for that upgrade, but the principle is the same - I don't need any of the new features.

As far as no back links...you will never see any on that site. I have them blocked in WP.

You DO know that nearly all WP updates are security improvements? Version upgrades (i.e. from 2.8 to 2.9) are never 'bells and whistles'.
Your accounting program (like my office program which I've been using since Windows 95) is in no danger from Trojans and hackers, but Wordpress sites are constantly being attacked. And who says you have to use all the features?
I know that the WP admin lets you specify 'no backlinks', but that isn't the sort I was talking about. I was talking about any other site on the internet carrying a link to your site - Wordpress can't forbid that. It's elementary SEO to have other sites link to yours (aren't you interested in having your site ranking higher than page 5,578 on Google?); it also indicates that you have some friends, or at least know some people who think that your company site is worth linking to.

As I said in another post here, I am not a web designer nor am a proper webmaster and I don't hold myself out as an SEO expert.

My wordpress site is not run on WordPress, org it is hosted on my own hosting account and no I am not interested in getting a higher google rating while my site is not complete. Besides we hold the number one spot in the organic search results for Google.

But like I said, the site is down right now as we fix things like that. Nothing nefarious about that.
