My college's literary magazine accepted Panflute, in its entirety. I can't decide how I feel about this. I mean, I got published (no money or anything, but the literary magazine here is picky, so I think it's an accomplishment), but then again, my school's literary magazine is willing to publish furry shota. o.O I submitted it to make a point, that ( Read more... )

Lol! If University where you live is anything like where I live, furry shota should be just what they want. It shows that they are not scared of borderline materials and belongs to the cutting edge of literary publishing. Classic decadence in other words (and not that inventive, actually). Add some eccentric drugs and a bit of death, and you'll have your own literary movement.
I hope they have actually read through it too and not just jumped for the explicits. I think you should feel accomplished anyway, publishing is publishing. I imagine a lot of authors feel like you feel after being accepted by a publisher: "Did they really understand what I was saying?" There are no guarantees and there are a lot of stupid readers out there. Luckily there are a few smart ones too. ;D

Yeah, that's probably exactly what they're doing. Well, I'm happy to provide them with a little ordinary decadence, if it means that somebody might actually understand. :)
