I'm going to partake in NaNoWriMo. This damn story has been in my mind for the past decade. It's time to finally just get it written out on paper. Or, I guess technically, typed on screen

I've done NaNoWriMo a few times (finished twice) - it can be a good way to force oneself to sit down and start writing consistently, but the emphasis on wordcounts can sometimes result in quantity over quality, I've found. Even if you don't finish during November, it's a nice way to get a start on it - the piece of mine that I'm most proud of started off as a NaNoWriMo project, but went on for another two years or so afterwards.
