I'm glad I missed that in 2004... I used to like that song, and I even had some respect for Gene Simmons... Oh well :\

Good question :) I'd imagine that it was some combination of Gene Simmons' ego and music industry "yes" men... I mean, as bad as the finished product is, stranger things have happened :\

I actually watched the whole thing through, just to see how bad it could get.

Indeed, who the hell would say, "Let's invest money in this."?
Gene Simmons, now more than ever, resembles and old dog need to be put to sleep.
Luckily, it's all such a poor attempt at whatever, it'll flow right past me, and I will be able to sleep albeit having seen this.
