There has been a dead moth on the back of the piano for months. For some reason, I always expect moths to smell of mothballs (they don't). I don't want to throw it out, for some reason, wings coiled around the abdomen like a cigar and its black black eyes. It does seem counter-intuitive to throw away something so perfectly preserved, that is so often preserved, pressed between pages or placed beneath glass.

So, yes, not a bad fate for that moth.
