Jason moves quietly though the house after being let in by Nat, stopping at the bedroom door. He'd been checking on Leela several times a day, same as Gabe and Lil.

He watches Tam for a few minutes before stepping into the room, not wanting to disturb her work.

"How is she?"

"She is alive.. I think" The words were whispered, the voice raspy with unuse. Dark blue eyes opened to slits, trying to focus in the bright light, then closed again as she whimpered quietly.

".. hurts.. "

Looking up as she scented Jason, smiling wanly as he came in. "She's...'

Chuckling at that, turning to rest a hand on Leela's shoulder to keep her from moving.

"That she is. Shhh, don't move. Not yet. I can... I can give you something for the pain, if you wish. Either muggle or witch."

He moves so quickly he's almost a blur, sitting carefully on the bed beside Leela. He reaches out and touches her cheek, then smiles.

"Do as the good witch orders, Sis. No use undoing her miracle work this soon."

Shifting a bit, he pulls his cellphone from his pocket and sends a quick, simple message to Gabe. 'She's awake.'

Leela held the cell phone for a few moments after she got done talking with Deacon, simply remembering the sound of his voice. She placed it on the bed next to her and concentrated on slooowly sitting up. Nausea, check. Pain radiating from what's left of my stomach, and my wrists, check. Weak feeling in my bones, check. Ok, I'm alive.It occurred to her then that the reason that Cel didn't answer her was that he was on his way to the pardlands. There and then Leela decided that she was not up for another round of 'bitch at the patient'. And although Cel might not actually bitch at her? He had a way of making her feel guilty over the slightest things. And she knew, she just knew that he would take this as another round of 'Leela monsterbaiting and getting her ass kicked'. And after she'd promised him she wouldn't be doing it anymore? Aieee. That was one ass chewing she really wasn't looking forward to
