I haven't read the comic yet so I can't comment on the review, but all I can say about your comments on Timedancer is that it's nice not to be alone on that.

Ever since the concept showed up, the only response I have ever been able to muster is "not much good can come of this".

I don't see it working. I'm sorry, but changing a popular character so drastically and so quickly is a good way to wound a series, considering that this comic needs new readers to survive beyond the loyal core. But, we'll have to wait and see I suppose.

They’re outside, with no one around to get hurt and there must be a trained sniper on the Goon Squad, and one shot would put an end to this entire thing (but that, of course, would ruin the story)

Uh... Owen called them off. That was part of the deal in #4. They don't care if Thailog was gutting Goliath and wears his head like a hat. The commandos don't care, and for that matter neither does Owen. Owen is not the Manhattan Clan's friend. He did the minimal, brought a bag for Dr. Sato to use, but that's it. But, as long as the fight did not destroy things or disturb the guests, he did not care.

And how does he still have access to Nightstone Unlimited? I doubt Demona would have allowed him anywhere near the building, or would keep Sevarius on staff after a little bit of betrayal, both financially and emotionally.Demona is lying low. Think about this for just one minute. Robyn Correy figured out who Dominique was, turned out to be one of the Hunters and is now in custody while the city is up in arms about gargoyles. For all ( ... )

- Who said Owen would’ve done it for the clan? How does allowing Thailog to continue what he’s doing in any way connected to the clan, and in any way an intelligent move? Pulling the trigger is pretty minimal, considering Owen has just rid his employer of nothing but a major security threat, especially since Thailog is running around free with guns blazing and plans scheming ( ... )

- Well, it's always possible that Xanatos still has uses for Thailog. He hates waste. When have we ever seen Xanatos kill an enemy? Why waste something that may eventually become a useful resource? It's exactly why he's never killed Goliath or his clan even when Owen suggested it. Hell, he's obviously already found a use for Coldsteel. I'm sure he knows that Thailog is never going to work for him, but that doesn't mean that Thailog won't unintentionally provide Xanatos with opportunities to expand his power base ( ... )
