Since Monday, I had been in Cedar Rapids for orientation with West Side Transport. This morning, they told me that my experience wasn't consistent enough for them to hire me and sent me home! Why did they even send me up there in the 1st place then? I want my 4 days back! Now it'll take me at least a week to try to get another trucking job set up! ( Read more... )

That actually happened to me years ago. I was told to be at a Costco which was being built for a security job I had applied for. I showed up with my lunch and hardhat and everything and when I got there the fucking idiot tells me he just wanted to tell me I didn't get the job. I was so fucking pissed off...

But anyhow, I wonder how much red tape you'd have to deal with to work in Canada. You'd have a really good chance of getting a nice paying job driving in northern Alberta or BC.
