I don't care, I'm still all about the No Smoking Indoors law.

I sodding hate cig smoke, and I don't think that means I should avoid restaurants, punk concerts, whathaveyou.

I see where you're coming from but it's along the same lines as having to avoid a restaurant because you don't like one of the regulars or one of the staff. There are lots of restaurants and lots of concerts, if you really hate it that much I don't think it's that big of an inconvenience. Besides, private owners shouldn't have to cater to what certain people want, just as many smokers would get mad. Can you really blame a restaurant for attracting people that smoke? Atmospheres just attract different types of people, which is why you'll never see me at some gothic coffee shop or a rave.

But it's a little silly to go somewhere TO SMOKE (except maybe a bar, or some sort of manly golf club den?), whereas one would go to a rave to...uh...rave. The other thing is, it's hardly a democratic system even within the restraunt because if everybody but one person wants to smoke and that one person still can, the smoke permeates the whole place, is basically unavoidable, and we all end up smoking it.

Allow me to explain to you that there is a difference between pro-concervative individual rights and pro-liberal individual rights:

Liberal:
Gay marriage
Abortion

Conservative:
The right to be a miser

ok, i'll admit abortion has done some good for the world. i mean, who would have thought, 61 years after hitler's death, there would still be talk of eugenics in the world.
but look at denmark or the scandinavian nations' out of wedlock births. pretty bad (unless of course you're of the mindset that out of wedlock births are good for a society). Think gay marriage has anything to do with that?

haha let's take over rory's lj posts with our own arguments
