Things I've started recently:

--A container garden on the patio. Using The Urban Homestead: Your Guide to Self-Sufficient Living in the Heart of the City by Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen I fashioned some iffy self-watering containers, but so far the plants haven't died so I think it must be working out okay. I planted strawberries and poblano

You're gonna have to show me how you made those planters and stuff. I grew some carrots (which turned out well) and cucumbers (which got some sort of fungus and were eaten by bugs -- what a shame) on the back patio last summer. This year I'd like to plant some more of those things and maybe also some strawberries or beans or herbs or little things like that on my balcony when it finally opens up.
