I remember the fateful words of Buckeroo Banzai...Don't think of it in terms of terminal change, Blake. Things keep going, things happen, shit happens, people change, people move, people die. These things aren't avoidable. We're all still here, caught up in our own lives, thinking idly about those we care so much about. Responsibility turns us into assholes and alcoholics, convicts and corpses. I don't think I'll ever notice my own growth and change, though everyone else surely will. Everything happened so fast, the last three years seem like a blur of time. Everything is a confused mass of change, I can understand why you loathe it so, just remember that every choice is yours.
