Pam had just finished straightening the papers on the desk in the IPD office when Frannie came in to start her shift. They exchanged pleasantries and Pam made her way out the door.
After a brief stop in the rec room to return a book, she started to leave. She'd intended on going back to the new hut, but instead found herself heading towards the beach.
She stopped halfway between the incoming tide and the start of the beach, dropping her purse and sketchbook. She toed off her sandals and carefully made her way to the water. She stood there, arms wrapped around herself, and watched the sun set as the water lapped at her toes.
