At first Veronica had thought she wouldn't do any baking, just 'cause she wasn't sure of the kitchen's supplies and she didn't want to be selfish and take them all for herself. But then, the more she thought about it, the more she realized she was really baking for all her wonderful friend and all the friends she hadn't met yet! So that had to make it okay, right?
The clothes box had been so sweet to her, too! She really thought the pink chiffon dress it had given her was about the prettiest thing she'd ever had in her whole life, and the lacy white apron was just the right thing to keep flour off her party dress. She had spread the red blanket over a table and covered it with flower garlands she had woven herself, getting up right with the lovely sun to do so.
Laying out cups and a plate full of cookies, she put the water on to boil. They would have to make do with green tea, but all that really mattered was that they would be together. As she waited for her friends to come, Veronica brushed her hair out behind her, grateful it had gotten longer again since Maladicta cut it, settling into natural waves around her shoulders. She'd always had such lovely hair; what had she been thinking, cutting it all off? Ah, well, that didn't matter now. She looked very pretty, if she said so herself, bouncing impatiently in the kitchen. Ooh, parties were so nice!
[Anyone is welcome to tag in, since the smell of snickerdoodles tends to spread. Since she's hoping to see lots of her swell friends, feel free to treat this as a gathering post. Tag each other, tag Vee, whatever you like. She'd really like it if Ro, Anamaria, Miho, and Buffy would attend. ♥]
