Friday evening on an island in the middle of nowhere - what's a girl to do with all this free time? Not sit around and mope, surely. Veronica Mars had been there and she'd done that, and, frankly, she was sick of all the inaction. With nowhere to go and nothing to do, however, she'd opted for walking on the beach, which was really only one step up on the chain of boredom.
She'd had a lot on her mind lately, but it had all simmered down into a fierce buzz; her concentration was elsewhere now. Lilly was back, Lilly was here, Lilly was alive! And, oh, she was maddening as ever and Veronica was so, so glad of it.
It was still weird, though. Lilly was younger now, or Veronica was older - either way, something had shifted. Veronica had shifted. Now, more than ever, it was hard to escape the fact that everything had changed, but she still wasn't sure she thought it was irrevocable. After all, despite everything she'd told him, things between Veronica and Duncan were as good as ever - better, even, than they had been for the few weeks preceding her confessions. There were fewer things to hide these days.
[She's in a pretty good mood, just walking on the beach, so now's a good time to meet her! Open, of course, to all, so tag, tag, tag.]
