No one's gonna sympathize when we crash.

Curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a copy of The Secret of Shadow Ranch, Veronica back into the corner, her legs tucked up against her. Alright, so there were a few things in her recent past that she was less than sure about, a few people she'd rather not see, but all in all, life was still good. She could ignore the things she wanted to ignore for the moment -- Bess and George had family with a ranch and a mystery to be solved, which would inevitably involve a few near deaths, some cute cowboys and Nancy remaining absolutely faithful to Ned.

She laid the book back against her knees, fingers stretched across the center to hold it open. Biting lightly at her lower lip, Veronica relaxed her head against the arm of the chair, letting her gaze turn upward. Even ignoring things couldn't make the weight go away. Sooner or later she would have to ask her dad what had happened with the crash. Sooner or later she would have to decide what to do about her love life. And sooner or later, she was going to have to stop watching the mistletoe across the room like it wanted her soul.

Easing herself up, she lifted her coffee from the table and sipped. Underneath the seeming content, things were getting complicated again. Veronica was starting to suspect she actually preferred hunting criminals to interacting with boys. At least the criminals left clues so she could solve things.

And what the hell kind of a name was Ned Nickerson anyway? Seriously.

[Tiny Blonde One is still, for all intents and purposes, in a pretty good mood. Catch her before it really does fade! Tag today, tag tomorrow, whatever.]

[Summary: Veronica posts up on the couch with a Nancy Drew novel. She and Pam have a conversation that wavers between the painful and girly (but not painfully girly) and the absurd (Dwight as a New Year's ball = win!). Logan drops by and things are awkward but moving toward alright. And Wallace complains about his inability to use the mistletoe properly, thus worming a bit of a confession out of Vee. (In progress.)]
