It was promising to be another quiet day in the clinic. The bustle from the excitement of the island's newest arrival had somewhat subsided and the clinic was relatively calm, and so I set to work preparing a tincture of Brazilian Peppertree bark that I had gathered the day before. From what I had gathered from the books I had been studying, it would make a good astringent and antibacterial, among other things. I had gathered some of the leaves, as well, which I thought I would dry to use later in other ways.

The bark gave off a slightly peppery, spicy scent as I worked with it, but not unpleasantly so, and I hoped that it would turn out to be useful. I liked to work with plants that gave off pleasant aromas, although some of the more useful extracts could be quite disgusting. I was glad to have something to do rather than sit idly while I waited for any patients that might arrive today.

Sunday PM clinic post. Feel free to stop in and chat. :) If you need medical attention, don't forget the treatment form.

Summary: Claire's on clinic duty. Pam and Jim come in for a prenatal visit and Claire does an ultrasound - it's a girl! :D Qui-Gon comes by to tell her of Luke's disappearance and needs some reassurance he isn't in the habit of asking for.
