you turn me into somebody loved

In the mornings, Veronica Mars generally got up, had breakfast and set off for whatever work she was supposed to do that day. It rarely managed to be enough to keep her fully occupied, so she wound up finding other little methods of entertainment - too much energy and nowhere to put it. Restlessness set in all too easily these days.

Sitting over breakfast, she laid out a mental plan for the day, then stumbled into doing other things. Today, though, seemed like a day to relax; moreover, it felt like a day for just hanging out with her friends and family. Her thoughts turned to them as she sipped her coffee. Every now and then, it really hit her how lucky she was. She still missed Mac sometimes, memories popping up to surprise her as they so often did, but she had everyone else she loved here with her. For a given value of here, anyway.

So she gathered up her messenger bag, slinging it over her shoulder, before setting out to find her friends. It was Valentine's Day, and, yeah, for the fourth year running, she'd managed to be single for it - but who said Valentine's Day had to be about hearts and flowers and all that? She could use it to just appreciate what she had. And if that was ridiculously mushy in and of itself, well, it was the day for that, too.

[Calling all loved ones. Meet Veronica anywhere you want - on the paths, on the beach, in the compound, etc.]
