Oh, to be a pollster...

Apr 24, 2007 21:11

Josh had talked to CJ about putting a poll in the field, and the thought had taken root. As much as he was Enjoying his Involuntary Vacation (and that was with a capital 'E'), sometimes he got antsy. And this was something for him to do that wasn't entirely self-indulgent, for once.

He had planted himself at a table in the rec room, and had dug up a ratty pad of paper. He had found a pen in a corner of the bookshelf that said "Curry Automotive; Chicopee, MA; Certified, pre-owned Hondas, Acuras and Chevrolet!" He was trying to work out what method to use to poll the citizens of the island effectively, how to get a decent sample size that wasn't too skewed, ask questions that were relevant but not too controversial, and then how to measure what he was polling about.

Needless to say, he was a bit stuck. At the moment, he was hunched forward, his fingers twined through what was left of his hairline. He had the pen stuck in the corner of his mouth and was staring blankly at the paper in front of him. "Good god, Joey, where are you when I need you."

[Aaaaaand your friendly local politico. The much-requested Mr. Lyman. He's BACK, y'all, have at him.]
