sandcastle!
It was back to puttering along the beach. Archie sort of liked wandering. And thinking. Apparently the island was going to require a good deal of that. He smiled though as none of his thoughts were gloomy so much as begging to be analyzed and given a good deal of attention.
After he'd done about as much ruminating as he could handle without brooding, Archie sank down onto the sand a little ways off from the shore. He pried up a large seashell and began digging. This too was a rather short-lived means of passing time.
He pushed the sand away and began working on a castle. A motte and bailey castle since he already had the ditch. When he finished with the mound and enclosure, he began to work on a tower to go over it.
