There was a giant clock on the wall. It hadn't been there yesterday, and because it hadn't been there yesterday Dwight was staring at it.
"Oh my god," he said suddenly, stupidly, his voice hushed, words slightly slurred. With -5 dexterity Dwight managed to scale the nearest table. "ATTENTION! ...HEY! It's almost midnight!" He pointed urgently at the clock. And almost fell off the table.
"Countdown!" he said, safely back on the floor after Angela had pulled him there. "1...2-- I mean...10...9...5...uh..." But by then the crowd had caught on, and the real countdown began.
Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four!...
Midnight and kissing were just a few moments away.
