Prior swept into the rec room wearing a purple silk dressing gown thrown over his clothes. He was about to fiddle with the jukebox in hopes of finding something soothing rather than the late seventies punk it had seemed intent on all morning, but he paused when he saw the woman sitting on the couch. He'd been so sure that she was gone!
Of course, when she looked up at him, she had the same expression of shocked recognition.
"You!" they both blurted at the exact same time.
"Andy?" Nancy asked suspiciously, thinking that her brother-in-law would probably not be caught dead wearing something like that. But then again, they did say there was something in the water.
Prior blinked at her. "Harper?"
They just started at each other for a moment, then Nancy said, "No, I'm Nancy!" just as Prior said, "No, I'm Prior!" and then they went back to staring.
"You mean you're not my womanizing idiot brother-in-law?" Nancy finally said.
"Oh, honey. Do I look womanizing to you? No, I'm just a poor ex-drag queen, emphasis on the queen."
It was all Nancy could do not to burst out laughing, just because she couldn't help but imagine the expression on Andy's face if he ever met this guy. "I see. Prior, is it?"
"Yes. And you're not a Mormon with a gay husband?"
"No, I'm a drug dealer with a dead husband. Nancy."
Prior actually smiled a little and marched right over and shook her hand. It wasn't that he didn't like Harper, but the reminder of Louis' extracurricular activities hadn't really been welcome. "Nice to meet you, Nancy. You're a little cuter than the Mormon, come to think of it. Must be the hair and makeup. Nice colors."
"Thanks. It's my intention not to look my age."
"And mine not to look my gender."
And so, that double case of mistaken identity settled, they both settled onto the couch in the rec room, Nancy reading an issue of Cosmopolitan she'd found on the shelf (judging from the cover headline "YOUR VA-JAY-JAY," probably the same one Jack had read), and Prior... well, actually, it turned out he was reading the exact same thing. Except he'd skipped any mention of va-jay-jays with astonishing speed and was instead pouring over an article titled "Why Guys Cheat." Also, he thought the black girl on the cover was fierce.
[OOC: Both Prior and Nancy open for conversation, just have your pup mention who they want to talk to... or I'll just surprise you. And er, I may actually have a copy of that Cosmo if you want to find out more about 21 Naughty Sex Tips or 5 Things Never to Tell Your Guy.]
