Bennet-Boleyn Ball
While perhaps it was not an occasion to rival the dances she and her sisters had attended at home, Jane was very much proud of this, her fourth endeavour upon the Island. It was very much alike in the setting as her previous gatherings had been with food and drink aligning the sides of a space portioned for dancing and with the aid of radios, they were able to broadcast the loveliest of music. The general atmosphere was more than pleasant and Jane felt entirely happy for the aid she had received from both Anne and Ianto.
Dressed in an outfit selected for her by Ianto and with Lydia in her finest (and within Jane's arms), she made her turns about the room, her mask obscuring half her face, though she was yet able to view people for who they were.
More than anything, she wished to fill the first floor of the rather large Boarding House with a sense of love and a happy enthusiasm. This was the first event Jane was hosting since Stuart had disappeared and the walls about them spoke of his commitment and goodness as a man and she wished to honour this and so much more, to celebrate the happy times and forget the ill ones.
And she would do it amidst her very best of friends.
