Susan was a bit tired this evening, but she didn't skimp on dinner at all. There was mahimahi glazed with lemon and rosemary, with salad and fresh fruit for side dishes--and, because she knew Rickon wouldn't touch a bite of that, spaghetti with tomato sauce for any children who happened in or those who didn't care for fish. There was a sticky sort of cake full of cinnamon to finish it off, along with Jell-O, which Susan didn't care for but Rickon adored.
The baby wasn't due for a week yet--not that babies kept to a timetable, as Susan was well aware, so she wasn't at all worried despite the tiredness. Rickon was in an unusually good mood. Wolf and Blanket huddled in the corner while Rickon crawled round the floor with the wooden train from his train table, making choooo choooo noises... not that he'd ever seen a real train, but he'd seen enough cartoon ones on the projector in the rec room to get the general idea. And Shadow lay snoozing in a far corner of the room, far away from the food but close enough to keep an eye on the wayward boy-pup, should he choose to wander.
[gathering post! normal gathering rules apply. Susan now has a top level up for baby-related thingers :).]
