For possibly the first time since her arrival, Veronica Mars felt as though she had things to do. Her camera was now solar-powered (the ramifications of which she tried hard not to think about) and she wanted to see how well that worked, for one thing. For another, she had decided she was going to take up Johnny on his offer to go surfing with her - unless she came across William first, in which case, they might carry on an exploration of the Compound. Two pairs of eyes, she hoped, would be better than one.
And in the meanwhile, the sand beneath her bare feet felt great as she walked in the general direction of Johnny's Hummer. It was a glorious day. Nearly seven weeks here and I'm in danger of becoming used to it, she thought, quietly amused. Maybe it wasn't so bad all the time.
[Open to all with the usual warning that I shall be popping in and out and disappearing for gaps of time. ♥]
