I do and I can't figure out what she's doing. I always see her in the halls, moving from the living room toward our bedroom and back again (from my vantage point in the office). At first I was flipping out as I would be up messing on the computer and then I'd see something white or off-pastel from the corner of my eye. I thought it was jedishadowolf until I got up and saw her completely asleep in bed seconds after the last vision of someone leaving the bedroom. That creeped me right the fuck out, but it happens so often now that I'm not upset by it anymore. It's just an old lady in a night gown that moves through the halls. She always reminds me of someone looking, really searching for something. Like when I'm late for work and looking for my keys, but with more urgency. I know her granddaughter lived there, but I get the sense that maybe she's looking for her husband and can't understand that he's not there.
When I'm not paying attention, I know that jedishadowolf is seating at her desk behind me, and the dog is laying
( ... )
On a marginally* more serious note, I now have a mental image of this situation devolving into a combination of Ghost and the Cheech and Chong "Dave's not here, man" bit.
*It really is a tiny margin detectable only with the help of an electron microscope.
