Billy forced him to cut off at least two feet of his hair, and then compelled him to set fire to the rest(although he put that out rather quickly, so it's only a bit singed). [Dias hasn't slept, so Celes hasn't. She has sat up patiently all night, sitting beside him and trying to think of something to say that would snap him out of his mood.

Though, even she finds his sudden lack of hair disturbing and unnatural, instead of humorous as Edgar's missing hair had been.

Finally, she just puts her hand on his shoulder and squeezes it. Celes finds it hard to be comforting, as she doesn't quite know how to comfort.]

[This man. Celes purses her lips and keeps her tone very even.] Why aren't you? [The bed creaks as she moves and sits beside him more comfortably at the edge of the bed.] Just what happened to you tonight?

W-well... [She speaks with an anguished tone, knowing fully well that what she's about to tell him will only put him in a fouler mood.] Billy Smith made me stab a metal skewer through the palm of my right hand.

...was he a drone boy with a big mouth? [As far as Dias knows, the ability to compel people to do things is exclusive to Billy, so this is his natural conclusion.]
