[You sure remind him of someone else, Cao Cao. Though you seem to be more caring of innocent people than this other person.]

[Orly? Now Cao Cao is pondering who that supposed 'someone' is.]

I don't think everyone is that desiring of change. There's something of a comfort to be found in complaining.

Then these people are fools!

If they find comfort in complaining then they should keep such needless words to themselves! They are not trying to a find a solution to their woes, they are merely antagonizing those who are trying to bring end to such woes.

Such silliness is common among sheep and pigs but such silliness shouldn't be among men!

It shouldn't, but it is. As much as I disagree with such methods, and as much as I find it irritating, I can't say I can entirely fault others for attempting to find comfort where they can, however.

Then allow me to fault those who are foolish enough to do nothing and sit idly when they can promote change!

Power comes in all shapes and forms but the power needed here to spark change within this world is dulled by the groaning and griping of the masses. If we was to come together in unity to save ourselves, then perhaps we could actually resurrect this world and finally live in the peace we can obtain.

I know many of us wish to return home but it seems as if such a wish be granted.

This is why we much wish for something beyond ourselves!

Plenty's changed here, hasn't it?

Some but not enough to ensure that such progress will be long lasting.

What's so transient about it?

If we cast ourselves within petty goals and linger within obscurity, then our actions here shall be utterly pointless.

I do not know what these scientists wish for us to do but to loiter here and do nothing for this world is a grave sin of its own accord!

I don't see a 'common goal' within the city, unless it involves survival and basic needs. As I understand it, there has been progress in those areas over time.

True but is this all we seek? Just a way to feed ourselves and save ourselves from the fangs of the beasts that surround us?

If that is so, then we are nothing more than mere animals.

Perhaps this is all we agree on. Most humans--and other beings I suppose-- desire more, and these other desires are at odds here. I doubt there will be a consensus of these in Discedo.

... The idea of a council has crossed my mind. Even so, it would be difficult to represent the many interests of the city.

Then allow me to state here and now that I do not share your doubts in the population's inability to form a census but I am intrigued by your idea of forming a council.

I have confessed such thoughts in the past but never made an attempt to make them fruitful until now.

However, if I act alone upon such an ambitious plan, I shall surely fail.

Change is something that comes slowly. Positive change can usually only be done in a world where things remain stable long enough for people to adjust - this place seems to never rest. The changes are jarring, and the population is in a constant flux.

Rather than forming a goverment which, in a dark world like this with so many unknown people, could rapidly become a dictatorship, someone should begin to work on guides that fully explain this world. Salvation comes from unification of the people, and only when we are all understanding, can progress be made.

[/end speech. Ow, his tongue feels a little burnt saying that. The lies, how they scorch his soul]

In my honest opinion, a dictatorship would be much better than having these fools run about like rodents scurrying about within the night...

I must disagree. A dictatorship in a place like this would only cause the people more stress. And the leaders would be constantly changing - whether by the will of this strange place, or murder.

[ooc; By the time he's ready to stop lying, it'll be like a flag poll. ;w; ]

Then what form of government would you suggest to a public so unwilling to work together for survival? Indeed, I do realize their has been progress in Discedo regarding such manners but would it not be beneficial for a government to be formed?
