I don't read about famous rock bands falling apart. In a sense it's because I'm a superstitious old Irishman and I fully believe in the theory of the jinx. Pass up opportunities of understanding each person in the band once and you're trite. Pass it up twice and you're accordingly bloody foolish with a dish of arrogance on the side.

That's probably the best thing anyone first starting out in a band could be told.

This is the comment where I attempt to get past my serious case of hero worship for both you and the rest of your band and thank you for inspiring me to become a musician. I actually followed The Joshua Tree tour for about two months because of that inspiration then, and you guys have never failed to inspire me again with each new record.
