Not the entry I want to make - I am not dyslexic apparently!

Please read and offer any advice you can, I am at a loss as to what I should do next and would appreciate other peoples opinions.

I recieved the dyslexia report earlier today and read it after this mornings class.

first of all lots of empathy my lastest assement had me beinh diagnosed with "autistic traits" because i'm not quite an aspie or qute normal and it's all a bit anoying to fall beteween the cracks ( ... )

Ah yes a diagnosis of a specific learning difference that isn't dyslexia or dyspraxia can be counter productive if you're looking to qualify for dyslexia-specific support.

It does sound like you have a 'spiky profile' though and may be able to get some support from your college just on the basis of that, or be able to get a diagnosis of something else like dyspraxia or NVLD. I would suggest taking your assessment report to the learning support officer at the college and explaining the difficulties you have that this report confirms.

You could also try talking to DANDA, which covers all SpLDs and ASDs, to see if they have any advice.
