I saw the Tom Cruise one.

It was very yawn.
Also, it totally felt like I'd seen it before. Not in the "This is a classic sci-fi book that many authors have since been influenced by and tried to emulate", but in the "erm. Didn't I see this movie already? I think I'm going to take a nap now" sort of way. Also in the "come ON Tom. Suck it up and stop being a crybaby!!" sort of way.

I haven't seen any of them, nor will I try, but I hear bad things about that one (and read bad things about the other two). I wonder if Wells is rolling around in his grave asking why Cruise, why Cruise, why?

I had free passes to the premiere. I wanted to sneak into Batman Begins, but I didn't. I don't know why not. I should have. I really should have.

I've updated my blog at blogspot that ends in a more ranty version of this post, including a plethora of terrible quotes from War of the Worlds that I assume were better in context.

What would you rate it out of 5?
