All I can say in my defense is that, as a fictitious former member of the Kennedy family, I was too grief-stricken to carefully consider all aspects of the argument and accord them their appropriate weight. However, having seen Frank's signature statement on the matter, it seems like your characterization would be more accurate if you replaced "Hitler" with "fucking ignorant" But I have seen a good deal of on-line commentary that run along the lines of "The way you've chosen to oppose this policy (astroturfing town hall meetings, showing up at presidential town halls with loaded weapons, etc) is totally something Hitler would have done." So naturally Godwin's law comes into play. But at what point in this reductio ad Hitlerum will both sides concede that they have lost and argue about something with substance? That's not going to happen.
