A problem I am having with going to the farmer's market.

 Those that know me, know I want to buy local. When I can, I go to the farmer's market. EK and I use greenling.com which delivers organic produce and more right to our door ( Read more... )

unfortunately, one of the biggest advantages in being super high volume is you can soak up ripples in the cost stream much more slowly than the independents.

Unemployment, material costs like fuel or equipment... if you move 30,000 units a week, you can afford to change your prices more gradually than a guy who only moves 3,000.

This hasn't been recent. We've been going to the farmer's market for close to 8 years now. It has always been overpriced.

...well, i'd do just what you say, then. go up and ask.

....there's a remote possibility they're not catering to alternative crowds from markets anymore, but catering to the pretentiousness of so called 'organic elitists.'
