I am in awe of your ability to incorporate the word "pinash" into a journal entry. Major kudos, my dear Arthur.

With that being said, I never really thought about the significance of shoes...but now that you have pointed it out, I'm really starting to ponder it. I mean, shoes are totally a status symbol. Gangs loop them around on powerlines to mark their "territory" and they play a predominant role in a lot of movies (like Hocus Pocus where the main character gets his shoes stolen in the cemetary. Obviously, I love that movie way too much.)

I would really love to see the Laraime Project...I'm actually surprised it hasn't been done here at Oberlin. I'm glad it was an experience that touched you, though :-)
