Yeah Al & Bren went to global gathering but I was in Madrid that weekend so couldn't go. I was gutted! Daft Punk were everything they were expected to be and more :'(

Aw, lil' brownfool simpson eh? Not the Queen of sax, so don't know any of the pro brands, but Conn, trevor james, jupiter and Yahaha are decent starter instrument providers, check out chase on oldham st, they had them for £100 or sommat stupidly cheap, it specialises in starter instruments so has a major cheapness factor. johnny roadhouse is more expensive but you might find a swapper there, and if you find one in cash generator, they can be a bargin but check all the felts and corks are intact and you can get hold of reads and the ligature that hilds the reads in! I wouldn't suggest buying one without having a hands on inspection, ebay has been a bugger for selling instruments from china for £5 plus imense postage which is still probably asking to get held at customs and excise so you get a tax bill with it too, so i'd try and look for something you like around here, if you are brave enough to venture to a stranger's house to look at one do check out loot and manchester.gumtree.com as you can grab a few bargains there too!
