I hope I'm not stepping on mod toes here. Feel free to let me know if this is out of line.
In the hopes of reviving this community, I thought I'd start a talkback thread for Legend of Korra. And, to minimize comm clutter (and catch up with all the episodes that have already aired) we'll just have one big series talkback thread instead of a new

--The series thus far:
This show would be PERFECT if only it hadn't decided to attach obnoxious romantic plot tumors to the characters after only 3 episodes. Shipping preferences aside, the characters didn't even have time to get to know each other before a love triangle was shoved down our throats and it just rubbed me the wrong way. Here's hoping the resolution the trio came to sticks and the show goes back to focusing on the main conflict. Because if I want romantic melodrama, there are literally millions of other things I can watch that do it better.

HELL YEAH! We finally get a Lin/Korra team up and it was GLORIOUS!!!
Wow. I can't believe my theory about Pema stealing Tenzin from Lin turned out to be right! O_o
I thought there was something off about Pema, but I never imagined that she'd turn out to be a home wrecker! For the sake of Tenzin and the kids, I hope that break up didn't involve a bunny and a stove. >_Was the show trying to tell us that Tenzin's man- ( ... )

They may be bad at writing romantic build up; but at least they don't screw over the female characters in the process like a lot of other shows tend to do. Here's hoping that last week's episode is the end of the heavy romantic melodrama.
And I would also LOVE to see Korra and Asami become buddies. It's nice to see her get along with Lin, but Korra needs a girl closer to her age that she can relate to.
However, I'm still a little worried that she'll turn out to be evil (the fact that we didn't see her or her father act frightened or get attacked during the ambush is troubling).
I had thought Lin and Tenzin had a past, but I'm with you. I think she just loved Aang so much that she can't see how Aang could be in Korra.
My theory is that Lin had a less than ideal relationship with her parents and Aang was a shoulder she liked to cry on. And his death hit her harder than she lets on.
