I was wondering, what ATLA pairings do you all like? Or would like to see more good fic/art of? I personally am a huge Zukaang fan, though Maiko's a close second favorite. I'd squee about them more, but I've got class, so later.

Honestly, I'd love to see more Aang/Azula. Just because the dynamic between them would be so interesting.

You should totally check out the RP I'm in (yearsofdweebery)! I mean, it's not a ship, but Aang and Azula have been interacting a little bit--it's an interesting thing~

Canon is well and good - and I admit I totally dig Suki/Sokka and Mai/Zuko and Katara/Aang - but I have to admit I am tickled by some of the fanon pairings as well.

Zuko/Aang is a good example - both you and sarajayechan are to blame! - and I'm surprised by how I was oblivious to the logic that is provided in canon for it.

I also dig Zuko/Sokka, because everyone needs a PWP slash pairing, but it's not just that. I've read really good romances involving the two of them, too, and I find that they have really good chemistry.

Sozin/Roku is also a fascinating pondering. I find that there is a ton of tension there, and it shadows the one-sided obsession that Jet has for Zuko (which is basically how I feel about Jet/Zuko - that it's purely one-sided obession).

Onto the girly side of things, I used to be ambivalent about Azula/Ty Lee, but now I see it as rather plausible. I also like to speculate about Katara/Yue, and how things would have been different had they gotten together instead of Sokka/Yue (which I do not like ( ... )

I always thought Sozin/Roku was canon! I mean, we get a surprising amount of hints to support it considering the fact that this show aired on Nickelodeon!

In terms of canon couples, Mai/Zuko has been my favorite for a long time -- they ultimately helped bring out the best in each other, which was incredibly enjoyable to watch and which has been at the heart of some of my favorite fics ( ... )

Canon pairings are always good, but I too am interested in Zuko/Aang and Zuko/Sokka and even Sokka/Aang - where is the fanfic and art for THIS pairing? Seriously. Someone point me in the right direction if it's out there!

On the het end of things, I've got an abiding interest in Haru/Ty Lee. I know they've never actually met, but I'd love to see a fic with interaction between the two of them. Maybe she could inadvertantly talk him into shaving the moustache. ;)

If I had time or inspiration, I'd totally try writing some of this...

I was very satisfied with the canon pairings, perhaps in part to me being a huge multishipper. I saw Kataang happening since the first episode and was completely fine with it, Sukka was also expected and sweet (and awesome, because Suki kicks ass) and was pleasantly surprised by Maiko (see icon. EEEEEE~<3 ( ... )
