FANCOMIC: "Aang is the worst spirit guide EVER" (plus a bonus cross-over comic!)

I just realized that I never cross-posted this piece to this comm! I hope you guys like it!

I know we're all wondering how Aang will handle his future responsibility as Korra's primary spirit guide. Here's my theory of how that will play out:

Tiny Korra is adorable as heck! I know it's all played for laughs (and the punchline was really funny) but the portrayal of Aang rubs me the wrong way. Even though he was a strict practitioner of ahimsa and a vegetarian, he never shamed hunters and meateaters for their ways in the series. Sure he was uncomfortable around the pelts in Bato's tent, but he didn't hold any contempt for Bato over them.

At the same time, Aang in your comic knows what blubber stew tastes like! WAT :P He wouldn't eat blubber stew! IIRC it was sea prunes he intensely disliked about water tribe cuisine.

Oh, I know Aang is too nice to shame hunters and meat-eaters (especially since Water Tribe people NEED to do those things in order to survive). I just got this idea one day and just HAD to sketch it out. It's just me goofing around; so it's not meant to be taken seriously.

I guess the text is kinda hard to read. In the comic, Aang complains about how blubber stew SMELLS, not how it tastes. ^_^;

OOPS. The text is legible, I just misread it. My bad, ignore that line then.

All that aside, I agree with you 100% on Velma and Scooby in the new series. The writers tried too hard to create a weird and squicky ~triangle~ between the two and them and Shaggy it became a tiring self-unaware OOC parody of itself.

If you want to feel better about the Scooby/Velma/Shaggy mess, this might help ~_^

Seriously, don't even get me started on how much I hate what Mystery Incorporated did to poor Velma, Scooby, and Shaggy! I could go on FOREVER!

Shaggy/Velma was one of my first ships. And it kills me that MI may very well be the only time we get to see it in any of the cartoon canons. :(
