Well, it's either that or having people classify you as one of those people who're always too busy and never do anything with you.

Yes. I have a friend whose priorities are with other things than us. V. annoying. But if she DID try to get to our things, then her other obligations would see her as unreliable. 'tis a tough line to walk.

Besides, look on the bright side! You'll have a mental breakdown from the stress long before people have the chance to reclassify you! XD

well I'm hoping for a mental break-down...
but I've been waiting for the mental break-down for a few years now.

well i sent him christmas and birthday cards at all appropriate times, and invitations .... but never got replies

hadnt really emailed or called him though cause i'd sort of given up
