&39 An onimous plant...[Public]

Dec 10, 2008 21:51

What sort of sinister role does this peculiar ornament plays? These scientists did not seem like the kind of ilk to be fond of such shrubbery. Is this some kind of jest or are they truly expecting the likes of us to partake in this supposed holiday cheer?

Whichever the reason, I wish not to be pestered by such morbid foolishness...

anti-christmas, the scientists, judge magister gabranth has spoken, to hell with that mistletoe, grr

I would advise you not to touch them, brother.

They burn or shock you if touched. I also have heard that they shall shock you if you find yourself under one and do not kiss someone.

Brother, your warning has came far too late! I know well of the agony these horrid plants can cause...

A kiss? Why would one who find themselves under one of these plants would need to kiss another? What sort of depraved game is this?

Are you hurt badly?

Tis what I have been told by a few people. It seems to be tradition on other worlds. Strange indeed.

Nay. Only my pride is wallowing in agony, Basch...
Far too strange for my liking and how dare those precarious fiends force such cultures down upon us!

You are positively dull Gabranth.

Would it kill you to partake in a festivity or two.

Bite your tongue, rogue! I am not dull as you claim...

Dull, droll, lackluster, an absolute wallflower. Call it what you will, I pronounce you guilty on all charges.

I should not be this amused by the word 'shrubbery' stupei_iori December 11 2008, 03:09:41 UTC
It's mistletoe, Armor Dude.

Y'know, if ya catch someone under it, you're s'pposed to kiss'em.

LOL! Gabby has a way with words... the_chaosblade December 11 2008, 03:14:54 UTC
A mistletoe?

...As I have heard. Is this a common practice from kingdom you hail from?

I... uh... wouldn't really call the dorm a kingdom, dude, but yeah.

You guys don't have it in your... uh... kingdom?

A dorm? ...What kind of world do you hail from again?

The Empire had no traditions that rival the same tomfoolery as this 'mistletoe' tradition...

...Um... Be careful, Gabranth.

They're not ordinary mistletoe.

Alas, your words come too late...

I do not believe I would have ever imagined that I would find myself bested by a homely shrub!

No matter. I shall find a way to rid myself of this horrid thing...

Did they hurt you?

Unfortunately, it seems this 'mistletoe' is able to use magic of some kind...

I suppose the scientist wish not for us to harm it.

It's part of the christmas tradition... well for the most part.

Tell me, is there any in the apartment?

Christmas? Hm...

Sakon, we have three of them hanging from the ceiling...

Mistletoe generally doesn't administer electroshock therapy or try to set fire to those of us who have no inclination to partaking in the romantic aspects of the festivities.

...Where in the apartment? If I know ahead of time I can avoid any awkward situation with you or Solidor-san.
