So my new work schedule has been killing me, which is one of the reasons I've been lax in posting here.  Right now I'm training down in Potomac Mills, which is a 1.5 hour drive in good traffic, four days a week.  The store I'm assigned to is closer but doesn't open until October 24th.  My new job, as a cheesemonger, is really quite fun and I enjoy ( Read more... )

Ewwwwww. Can you recommend all the managers be forced to take class in food handling? It not just the cheese-loss, it's customers who are allergic to the mold in blue cheeses.

The worst part is - they have!!! Wegman's had Serve-safe create their own food handling computer and quiz course for all personnel who handle food, and one of my manager's is a former Food Safety Enforcer.

It's been brought to the attention of The Powers That Be, I expect to see her re-educated shortly.
