On the issue of pictures on your live journal...
Upgrade to the version where they put ads on your journal...they are pretty unobtrusive and only show up to you...not people who view your journal. That way you get free pic space and a larger amount of avatars (I think...). The pic space is what got me to do the ad version. Oh yeah...and the ads are not for singles sites or penis enlargements, just stuff like music and Best Buy and stuff. Things you'd look at ads for anyway.
