So, I got the DVD for Easter last week, and I've already watched it a few times. I was just wondering, what is everyone else's favourite scene(s) of the movie? ( My favourites... )
My favourite scene is the first one you're mentioned. In fact, I love the entire sequence in the graveyard. The fight scene itself, and the music that plays when Crepsley approaches the grave, and the general atmosphere. It's great.
Actually, now I think about it, I enjoy any and all of the interactions between Darren and Crepsley, whether their bickering or actually coming to rely on each other. It took them a while to develop a true father-son relationship in the books, and I'm glad it wasn't immediate or rushed in the film. It wouldn't have felt natural that way.
Seconding the graveyard sequence....Starting with the scene in my icon, where his duster is flowing behind him and you hear that Nick Cave song. HAWT. And the first scene with him and Gavner after the performance, it shows how absolutely mundane Crepsley wants to be, but also how extraordinary he really is, especially for a vampire. Also, as far as crushing on Crepsley, you're in good company, lol!
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, "Red Right Hand". I get all squeeshy just thinking of the song, lol! Personally I'd like to know if this comm is G-rated or slash-friendly. If someone knows of Gavner/Crepsley slashfic, I WANT TO KNOW!! But that's just my horn-dog self coming out, lol!
I liked it! (If I had gif making powers, I'd definitely have one.) I think the comedic moments, like the tap dancing scene, work well with the more dramatic ones.
