Dear Tennant,

Your lease is scheduled to expire on August 31st, 2007. We regret to inform you that we will not be renewing your lease.

Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.

Indeed I did inquire. I turns out they're kicking everyone out in September to renovate the entire building...so I can take small comfort in the fact that 18 other tenants received the exact same letter as I did last week.
