CASSAVETTES had a show in NYC this weekend. so we rented a van, fit 12 people in it, drove for 4 hours and hung out in east village for a good 6 or 7 hours last night. they didn't have to load their instruments in until midnight, so we wandered from stanton st to katz deli to the williamsburg bridge, past sin-e, through alphabet city, around ( Read more... )

seeing sigur ros live just does not get old. last night i was just enraptured the whole time. it wasn't as great as last fall at the opera house (they played for 2+ hours then) but it was downright amazing. the setlist is basically the same every time, but:

so i do this a lot. i make a huge, comprehensive list of all the bands coming to the metro boston area for a certain chunk of time. so here's spring 2006. i always wind up giving this to the newspaper too, so thats why you should disregard the lame bands.
