WHR Subbed... And dubbed.

Psudo-crossposted to Harry'sI watched the WHR sub from the DVD last week, and I noticed a lot of weird inconsistencies in the translation. It seemed to me that there were some places in the sub that were literal translations of the Japanese, and not very well edited

I have a similar stance on Dub H8ing... I'm what most of my friends call a dub snob. But I've found over the years that there are some animes that actually are not that bad or better in the dub version. Take for instance El Hazard: The Magnificent World. Even the most staunch anime person will watch that dubbed just cause it was good and Big O *my guilty pleasure series*. Just from what I've been American VAs are getting better and better at well.. ACTING!! Mind you A LOT of dubs still bother me but My feirce hatred is not what it was before. It's nice to knwo that WHR wasn't butchered!

As far as the sub translation goes, yes, I noticed the same thing. I think I even bitched to you about it once back when I first got my DVD. Anyhow, this is why I will become an english editor for one of these dumb companies who imports and translates anime. I shall make subtitles fantabulous. Screw the dub, although the dub for this anime isn't half-bad. :D
